Working across many mediums including virtual reality, gaming, sculpture and performance, Irina’s work explores cosmism as a condition for social responsibility in a post-internet discourse.

Parodying popular culture and gaming, the animations are a CGI sandwich of re-choreographed liminal characters on the edge of classification within pixilated cyber playgrounds. Within this virtual context, the subjects speak of emotional or physical phenomena from the position of rhizomatic  fluidity to question creativity and freedom of expression.

Her process of working consciously reflects digital culture and collaborative practice and interest in alienation brought on by living amongst technical objects.

Irina is a member of Digital Maker Collective, a group which explores the impact of innovation on production cultures and creates social engaged projects and spaces.
